Praise of Ganesh: Gaiye Ganapati - Tulsidas Bhajan

gaaiye ganapati jagvandan, shankar suvan bhavaani nandan |
siddhi sadan gajavadan vinaayak, krupaa sindhu sundar sab laayak |
gaaiye ganapati jagvandan...
modak priy mud magal daataa, vidyaa baaridhi buddhi vidhaataa |
gaaiye ganapati jagvandan...
maangat tulasidaas kar jore, basahu raamasiy maanas more |
gaaiye ganapati jagvandan...

Meaning of bhajan: Gaaiye Ganpati jagvandan

I sing the praise of Ganesh, the son of Shiva and Parvati. Ganesh, who is accomplished, generous and omnipotent. He enjoys sweet modaks (laddoo, a sweet), and gives wisdom and intelligence. Tulsidas, with hands folded in prayer begs the divine power in Ganesh for the blessing that Sri Sita-Ram may always be present in my manas, mind. I pray for that pure mind which is a suitable seat for consciousness of divinity.

How he Got His Birth Name / Change of it

Tulsidas was born to Hulsi and Atmaram Shukla Dube in Rajpur, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1532. He was a Sarayuparina Brahmin by birth and an incarnation of Sage Valmiki, the author of the Sanskrit Ramyana. At the time of birth, Goswamiji was as healthy as a five-year old boy and instead of crying, He uttered “Ram”. At this moment, Lord Ram did aakaashvaani and named the divine child as “Raambolaa”.

His mother died the day after his birth and that Rama Bhola was wet-nursed until the age of five whenHow he Got His Birth Name / Change of it he was given over to Narahari Dasa, a wandering sadhu. He re-named him as Tulsi Dasa

Distance between Earth Sun

Now Let’s See what the Intellectuals (Garjajev’s Research Group) got after Decoding the Lines of Hanuman Chalisa Written by Tulsidas

1 Yuga is 12000 years
1 Sahastra is 1000 years
1 Yojan is 8 miles
Yuga X Shastra X Bhanu is par Bhanu
12000 X 1000 X 8 = 96000000 miles
1 mile is 1.6 km
So, 96000000 X 1.6 = 1536000000 km
This is the exact round figure distance of earth from Sun on 3rd July because studies mention the distance of 152,093,481 km from earth to sun during the aphelion (The period when earth is farthest from the Sun)

Akbar

In Bhaktamaal granth written by Sri Nabhaswamiji maharaj there is a beautiful prasang of Sri Surdas ji.It is said that once King Akbar summoned Tulsidas ji to show him a miracle. Tulsidas ji refused saying

“ Ek Bharoso Ek Niyam Ek Aas Vishwas,
Ek Ram Ragunath hith Chatak Tulsidas.”

one (object of) faith, one (source of) strength, one (object of) belief and refuge...
there is only the one Rām for Tulsidās, just as there is only the raincloud for the chātak bird.

Note
chātak bird, a particular species of bird, refuses to drink any water 'from the earth', and waits for the monsoon clouds to slake his thirst.

Akbar got angry and imprisoned Tulsidasji.

It was during this time in prison Tulsi Das started writing Hanuman Chalisa.

Tulsidasji prayed to Sri Hanumat lal Ji and there was a monkey menace in Delhi and as a result Akbar seek forgiveness from tulsidasji . Tulsidas ji warned Akbar not to test any saint again and to leave delhi as his palace is now a residence of Hanuman ji.

Without

  1. Without the Supreme Lord's blessings one cannot obtain the association of a pure devotee, and
  2. Without his association one cannot obtain the right understanding to reach the spiritual world to see the Lord.

Moment

eka ghadi adhi ghadi adhi ki puni adhi
tulasi sangati sadhu ki harai koti aparadha

  1. One moment, or
  2. half a moment's, or
  3. even one half of a half of a moment's
association with a real devotee can remove millions of offenses from a person and bring them to the platform of liberation. Such is the potency of a pure devotee's association.

Four Kumaras

An incident about the meeting of the four Kumaras with Vishnu's avatar Rama is narrated in the Uttarakanda of the Ramcharitmanas. The Kumaras once stayed in the hermitage of the sage Agastya, who told them about the glory of Rama. So to meet Rama, they went to a forest grove where Rama with his brothers and disciple Hanuman had come. Rama and his brothers were so pleased with meeting the four enlightened sages that they paid obeisance to them. The sages were wonder struck looking at the divinity of Rama that they prostrated before him and out of great ecstasy started shedding tears of happiness. Rama looking at the sages was deeply impressed and asked them to be seated and praised them for their great achievements and their erudite knowledge of the Vedas and Puranas. The four Kumaras were also delighted to hear the words of praise showered on them by Rama. They in turn extolled his great virtues in a hymn.

Rama's Name Greater Than Rama Himself

“Ram ek tapas tiya tari,Nam koti khal kumati sudhuri. Ram bhaloo kapi katuk batora, Setu hetu shram kinha na thora.Nam let bhav sindhu sukhahin,Karahun vichari sajjan man mahin.”

“Lord Rama redeemed one lady, the wife of a sage,
but the Name has transformed millions of sinners.

Rama, with the help of bears and monkeys, built the bridge to Lanka,
whereas just by remembering Holy Name the worldly ocean dries up.”

The Holy Name has immense power.
